Road Trip Planner builds your route based on your daily driving hours, not the kilometres. The app automatically works out your stopping points, then searches in real time for accommodation suited to your vehicle — campsites and service areas for motorhomes, hotels and guesthouses for cars — as well as the points of interest near each stage.
Is Road Trip Planner free?
Yes, Road Trip Planner offers 1 free trial without signing up: you can try the app straight away, with no account. By creating a free account, you get a 2nd trial. For regular use, three plans are available: Travel Pass (€2.99 for 2 trips), 5-Trip Pack (€7.99) and Premium (€24.99/year for unlimited trips with all features).
What is the difference between the free and paid plans?
Without an account, you get 1 trial with a reduced scope: 5 accommodation options per stage, 3 activities per area, no toll estimate. A free account gives you a 2nd trial, a wider scope and the total toll amount. The Travel Pass (€2.99) unlocks every planning feature for 2 trips (AI assistant not included), the 5-Trip Pack (€7.99) for 5 trips with the AI assistant included, and Premium (€24.99/year) with no limits. Which vehicles are supported?
Road Trip Planner adapts to four types of vehicle: motorhome, caravan, car and electric vehicle. For each type, speed and travel times are adjusted automatically. Caravan mode works out the specific speed limits and applies the correct toll class (class 2 or 3 depending on the size). In electric mode, the app includes charging points along your route.
How is accommodation found along my route?
The app searches in real time for accommodation near each stage: campsites and service areas for motorhomes, hotels for cars. You choose the search radius (from 10 to 50 km) and the results appear on the map as they come in.
Do I need an account to use Road Trip Planner?
No. You get 1 free trial without signing up: route, campsites and points of interest are available straight away. Creating a free account unlocks a 2nd trial and a wider scope; a paid plan (Pass, Pack or Premium) is required to save your trips and for regular use.
Is my personal data protected?
Yes, Road Trip Planner is developed by Phénix Tech, which specialises in privacy protection. The app is hosted in France, uses CNIL-compliant cookie consent, and does not share any personal data with advertising third parties.
